rustboro city’s trainer school always has a lot of activity. namely on days when the students feel they don’t really have a lot of ‘work’ to do.

like presentation days. the days where rangers or officers, even captains, are brought in to give a presentation on how their jobs work.

while usually this isn’t her kinda jive, because she would never be the sorta recruiting officer that got her hooked on being a ranger, jericho took up the opportunity to help. why?

cause she owed him. she owed tam. tam got her the job at the slateport outpost and so it was tam to whom she owed a favor. apparently that favor included putting her pokémon on display for little squirts to poke and prod at.

neither el nor norbert would mind, so she didn’t so much mind. and the look on tam’s face the whole day would likely be priceless.

waiting at the front of the school, jericho bobbed her head to the playlist she was fiddling with. el, her eelektross, hovered around her. sometimes she would rest on the trainer’s shoulders, but for today she’s just hovering about and experiencing her trainer’s homeland, to which she had never been before they came back.

In theory, considering that his youngest sister is around these kids’ age, Tam should have no problem dealing with them, but that theory gets thrown out the window when taking into account the little known fact that Tam hasn’t been to Unova in almost four years. When he left, his sister was a kid, and he’d much rather deal with kids than teens.

Alas, he doesn’t have a choice in the matter.

His superiors had said to come to the Rustboro Trainer School and teach the students about being a ranger, and although Tam would much rather do just about anything else, complaining and resisting would have been a hassle.

So, he’s here, and since he has to be here, so does @jericho, because back-up is always important during ranger missions, no? He needs someone to answer all the inevitable questions the students will ask them.

”Hey.” It’s dryly that he greets her when seeing her, as is typical of Tam, and by his side, a silent little vulpine pokémon looks up at the unfamiliar blonde. His Yamper is his usual companion, but Tam had deemed her to be “too excitable” to be brought to a school.

”oh my fucking god— who is this???”

bending, she gives a bright smile to the zorua that’s clearly … different. different in a way she’d heard rumors about online, but never fully witness in person.

her eelektross, el, swarms around her body and head before landing close, keeping that mouth of her closed so she doesn’t scare the little zorua. even if that zorua be lookin’ like a nice snack. no, no, she mustent. so says her trainer, anyway.

Tam states what is obvious to him, although it probably isn’t obvious to everyone. After all, this does not look like most Zorua out there. It had come from a Space-Time Distortion. It refuses to leave his side and doesn’t like being in a pokémon. At least it's calm enough for Jericho to hold it; wagging its fluffy tail and giving the cadet a high pitched little yap when looking up at her.

Most people who know him know he doesn’t usually bother with naming his pokémon, so he doesn't clarify. Sky blue eyes go from Zorua, to Eelektross, to Jericho, and then to the school before them.
